Well, although I can't say for sure here is my guess. In 1948, Lloyd had an infant son pass due to SID's. In 1949, Jeff Bridges was born. Trapped was released in October of 1949. I don't know when the filming started or was happening but it was being filmed over a very stressful period of this man's life.
