The sculpture park is Gustav Vigeland's life work, comprising over 200 sculptures in granite, bronze and wrought iron. It was installed mainly in the period 1940-1949, but is nevertheless a result of over 40 years of work.
The Vigeland Museum ( Norwegian: Vigelandmuseet) is a museum dedicated to Gustav Vigeland in Frogner, Oslo. It is located outside Frogner Park, which includes the Vigeland installation with sculptures by Gustav Vigeland. The museum is part of Oslo municipality's cultural department.
The Vigeland Museum opened in 1947 and is Gustav Vigeland's former studio and residence. Today, the museum shows a permanent exhibition presenting Vigeland's art, and temporary exhibitions with three-dimensional art.
In the several rooms of this interesting museum are presented sculptures and models that were created by well-known Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. There are concepts of sculptures that are now part of the bridge, fountain and obelisk in the park in Frogner in Oslo.

Europe. Oslo. For a more in-depth look at Gustav Vigeland's work, this museum is just opposite the southern entrance to Frognerparken. It was built by the city in the 1920s as a home and studio for the sculptor in exchange for the donation of a significant proportion of his life's work.
The Vigeland Museum's collection comprises 1 600 sculptures, 12 000 drawings and 400 woodcuts, in addition to pastels, wrought iron works and wood carving works. The collection is the result of an agreement Gustav Vigeland made with the City of Oslo in 1919.
