Robert Duvall. Actor: The Apostle. Veteran actor and director Robert Selden Duvall was born on January 5, 1931, in San Diego, CA, to Mildred Virginia (Hart), an amateur actress, and William Howard Duvall, a career military officer who later became an admiral.
Duvall debuted in To Kill a Mockingbird and appeared in many popular films of the 60's, Bullitt, True Grit, The Chase; then went on to play the consumate Tom Hagen in both Godfather and Godfather II, followed by tour de force appearances in Network and Apocalypse Now.
