     Directives can be used to manipulate DOM element. It's so useful when you wanna make a custom (third party) directive that can be used by other programmers in your team or world.

     Basically there are three types of directives.

     1) Structural Directive 2) Attribute directives 3) Component Directive(with template)

     1) Structural Directives usually manipulates structure of view/template. Eg. *ngFor

     will generate element according to your list count. *ngIf

     will display/hide view according to passed value.

     eg.

     Security for your video stream can focus on different areas - one is access/authentication and so long as you are passing the username and password over an encrypted link then this is a relatively standard level of security - having something more like two factor authentication would require a more complex set up which may be overkill for you.

     Another is protecting the video stream itself from being interpreted, copied or redirected - the safest approach is to encrypt the video stream itself if your camera supports this (many good quality security cameras will). Without this, even if you authenticate the user you run the risk of someone being able to view the video stream. It is worth being aware that even if you use SRTP Secure Real Time Transport Protocol, the encryption features are optional so you need to make sure they are enabled for full security.

     A third, and probably less usual concern but one which may be important depending on the application, is verifying that the video feed is actually coming from the camera or source you think it is. The typical approach to this is to have a key or certificate at the camera which it use to 'sign' or identify itself.

     The purpose of the data layer is to do the data related interactions with the data repository. If you want to get really pure, you can separate your data layer into two parts: the Data Abstraction Layer and the Data Independence Layer. The DIL is responsible for assembling the correct query for the data repository you are interfacing to (e.g. you might offer a choice of SQL Server or Oracle), while the DAL sits over top of the DIL and calls the appropriate methods to get the data it needs (for example it might specify the stored procedure to call or table/view to query, but the DIL is responsible for actually doing the call).

     In your case I would remove the filter at the data layer, i.e. the caller should pass in the thresholds. In pseudo code, your method signature would look like this:

     public YourDataObjects[] GetProducts(decimal lowerPrice, decimal upperPrice) { ... }-

     I've used an array for the return type because pretty much all languages have that (you didn't specify which language you're using), this is also the reason for using the decimal type for thresholds.
