Downriver Central Animal Control (DCAC) is a state licensed animal shelter in Michigan and the consolidation of four cities' animal control departments (Allen Park, Southgate, Riverview, and Wyandotte). Our facility handles stray intakes, owner surrenders, investigations of animal abuse and neglect, and other animal control matters.

  3. The DCAC's animal shelter is a collaborative effort among Southgate, Allen Park, and Wyandotte. All cities adopted uniform ordinances and combined jurisdictions. Wyandotte’s animal shelter serves as the main adoption center. All adoptions are handled by Wyandotte's facility.
