The First Slam Dunk is a 2022 Japanese animated sports film written and directed by Takehiko Inoue, produced by Toei Animation and DandeLion Animation Studio. It is based on Inoue's Slam Dunk manga series.
After enrolling in Shohoku High School, Hanamichi becomes interested in a girl named Haruko who loves the game of basketball. Hanamichi Sakuragi is a delinquent with a long history of getting dumped by girls.
The First Slam Dunk. Shohoku's “speedster” and point guard, Ryota Miyagi, always plays with brains and lightning speed, running circles around his opponents while feigning composure. Born and raised in Okinawa, Ryota had a brother who was three years older.
Ryota follows his brother's footsteps and challenges Sannoh Kogyo with the Shohoku basketball team.
