Plot. James Parker is a big game hunter in Africa, searching for a mythical "white ape". He is joined by his estranged daughter, Jane Porter, after her mother's death. They discover that the "white ape" is actually Tarzan, an uncivilized white man raised by apes living in the African jungle.
Tarzan the Ape Man is a 1932 pre-Code American action adventure film released by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer featuring Edgar Rice Burroughs' famous jungle hero Tarzan and starring Johnny Weissmuller, Neil Hamilton, C. Aubrey Smith and Maureen O'Sullivan. It was Weissmuller's first of 12 Tarzan films.

Synopsis. In 1910, Jane Parker (Bo Derek) travels to West Africa seeking adventurer James Parker (Richard Harris), the father she has never known. She pays for passage on a small boat, but when drunken sailors break into her cabin, she shoots at them and subsequently sails to Parker's camp on a supply boat.
