The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is a film institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of the Government of India and aided by the Central Government of India. It is situated on the premises of the erstwhile Prabhat Film Company in Pune .
Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) originally known as the "Film Institute of India," was founded in 1960. Currently, the former Prabhat Studio is the home to FTII Campus. Being one of the top film schools in India, FTII Pune is now a global center of excellence for audio-visual media.
