Sir Colin Nigel Callender CBE (born May 1952) is a British television, film and theater producer. He is the CEO at Playground Entertainment, a production company with offices in New York and London.
Colin Callender is a BAFTA, Emmy, Golden Globe, Olivier and Tony award winning producer, and the founder and chairman of Playground LLC, a film and television production company. He has produced acclaimed dramas such as WOLF HALL, HOWARDS END, KING LEAR and HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD.
Under his Playground banner, Callender has produced over 90 hours of prime time television garnering 16 Emmy nominations, 26 BAFTA nominations and 12 Golden Globe nominations, including winning a BAFTA and a Golden Globe for Best Miniseries.
