Michael McNamara (born 1 March 1974) is an Irish independent politician who has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for Clare since the 2020 general election, and previously from 2011 to 2016. He was elected as a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) for South at the 2024 European Parliament election.
Dr. McNamara is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and the chief of Surgery at Williamson Medical Center. He specializes in spinal fusion, laminectomy, discectomy and other treatments for spinal disorders.
Michael McNamara is a Canadian filmmaker who has worked on music, children's and family TV shows and specials. He was born in Chicago and raised in Windsor Ontario, and is the son of poet Eugene McNamara.
