•Throughout all the handheld games developed by Dimps for the Sonic the Hedgehog series, there is a theme of hammer-based first bosses. The theme originated from Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, in which the first boss featured a ground vehicle with a large hammer and ended with Sonic Rush with the Egg Hammer Mega.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse is the first game developed by Dimps to feature full 3D battles, similar to Spike's Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series. It was first announced as the Dragon Ball New Project, until the actual title was revealed on June 10, 2014 during E3 2014.
