Gang Starr was an American hip hop duo, consisting of Houston-born record producer DJ Premier and Boston, Massachusetts rapper Guru. For the entirety of their act as a duo, they were based in Brooklyn, New York. Gang Starr was at its height from 1989 to 2003, and are considered a widely influential MC-and-producer duo in hip hop history.

It includes guest appearances by Freddie Foxxx, O.C., Heather B., Jay-Z, Treach (of Naughty by Nature), Teflon and Gang Starr. The album peaked at #80 on the US Billboard 200 chart and #14 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
