Jason Becker: Perspective. by George Graham. (Warner Bros. 46951 As broadcast on WVIA-FM 6/20/2001) While there are literally thousands of new albums being released every month, every one has a story behind it. Few, though, are as compelling as the one behind the subject of this week's review.
Overall Jason Becker’s “Perspective” is one of the single, most utterly perfect albums ever made, and taking into account the situation surrounding him, it is quiet an achievement. This is not only an album that metal fans would enjoy; classical fans would very much enjoy this too.

Perspective. The Story. Shred/neo-classical guitarist Jason Becker, stricken with Lou Gehrig's disease at age 20, released his CD "Perspective" at age 25. Using a MIDI-based studio including a keyboard, Macintosh, sequencing software and an analog recording system, Becker has created his own system for making music via computer.
