Samurai Jack is an American animated action-adventure dystopian television series created by Genndy Tartakovsky for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. The show is produced by Cartoon Network Studios. Tartakovsky conceived Samurai Jack after finishing his work on his first Cartoon Network original series, Dexter's Laboratory, which premiered in 1996.

Samurai Jack gets an offer to join a Thirties style gang of mobsters at the Blue Monkey club and decides to take them up on it so he can get close to Aku. The gang plans to steal something Aku has been unable to obtain: the legendary Neptune Jewel, guarded by Earth, Wind and Fire.
Jack, also known as Samurai Jack or simply the Samurai, is the alias taken by a Japanese warrior prince; with an unknown birth name; who acts as the titular protagonist of the cartoon, Samurai Jack. Throughout the series, he was voiced by Phil LaMarr.
After being sent into the future by evil wizard Aku, young samurai Jack makes a quest to return to the past and undo the destruction caused by the wizard.
