Toby Tarnow (born June 15, 1937, in Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan, Canada) is a Canadian actress. She was the first actress to portray the popular Anne Shirley of Anne of Green Gables in Canadian radio then in Canadian television in a 1956 television movie.

Toby Tarnow is a Canadian actress who portrayed Anne Shirley in the 1956 TV film Anne of Green Gables. She had also provided the voice of Anne Shirley in the 1954 radio drama Anne of Avonlea and possibly in its prequel, Anne of Green Gables (1954).
•In 2012, Tarnow was awarded the Children's and Youth Theatre Award by the New Hampshire Theatre Awards.
