Feb 27, 2017 · LOS ANGELES (AP) — Bill Paxton, a prolific and charismatic actor who had memorable roles in such blockbusters as “Apollo 13" and “Titanic” while also cherishing his work in “One False Move” and other low-budget movies and in the HBO series “Big Love,” has died from complications due to surgery.
Mini Bio. Bill Paxton was born on May 17, 1955 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the son of Mary Lou (Gray) and John Lane Paxton, a businessman and actor (as John Paxton ). Bill moved to Los Angeles, California at age eighteen, where he found work in the film industry as a set dresser for Roger Corman 's New World Pictures.

The aorta is the main artery that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. The prolific actor died late on Feb. 25. That was 11 days after the surgery.
