Ayo Edebiri ( / ˈaɪoʊ əˈdɛbəri / Ah-yuh ə-DEB-ər-ee; [ 1] born October 3, 1995) is an American actress, comedian, and television writer. Since 2022 she has played chef Sydney Adamu in the comedy-drama series The Bear and won a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Primetime Emmy Award for the role.
Ayo Edebiri is an American comedian, writer, producer and actress. She appeared on Comedy Central's Up Next and co-hosts the podcast Iconography with Olivia Craighead. Edebiri joined the cast of Big Mouth's fourth season and is a main cast member on The Bear.
