At the time of his birth, Jones’s father, Dub, was a receiver for the Cleveland Browns and helped the franchise win two AAFC Championships and three NFL titles.
Bert Jones was the Baltimore Colts' quarterback who replaced Johnny Unitas and won the MVP in 1976. He retired from football and returned to Louisiana to run a lumber company with his family and friends.
