Bronko Nagurski (born Nov. 3, 1908, Rainy River, Ont., Can.—died Jan. 7, 1990, International Falls, Minn., U.S.) was an American collegiate and professional football player who, at 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 metres) and 226 pounds (102.5 kg), was an unusually big player for his era and its quintessential bruising fullback.
Playing fullback in 1928 against Wisconsin, he scored a touchdown with six tacklers trying to hold him. In 1929, against Iowa he was in the lineup at five positions - end, tackle, guard, halfback and fullback. Minnesota had a record of 18- 4-2 in his time.
