Augusto Genina (28 January 1892 – 18 September 1957) was a prolific Italian filmmaker, who was not only a director but also a producer. From the early 1910s, he was active as director of many Italian silent films, realizing various films with the divas such as Helena Makowska, Italia Almirante Manzini, and Maria Jacobini, partly for his own company Genina Films.
