Astoria Park is a 59.96-acre (24.26 ha) public park in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens in New York City. The park is situated on the eastern shore of the Hell Gate , a strait of the East River , between Ditmars Boulevard to the north and Hoyt Avenue to the south.

Astoria Park, on the west shore of Queens, extends from south of the Triborough Bridge to north of the Hell Gate Bridge. With a panoramic view of the skyscrapers of midtown Manhattan in the south to the Hell Gate channel in the north, the scenery presents the diverse landscape of New York City.
Astoria park is a year round park. It has an Olympic size public pool, tennis courts, children playground, basketball court, run/walk track, restrooms and a parking area. There is a bicycle lane and nice paved walking paths around the park.
Astoria Park is the best NYC park to be in at weekends. You are on the waterfront (East River), can fish, view the Hell Gate and RFK Bridges, play soccer or tennis or just lounge in the Sun. Take the N or Q (week days only) trains to either Astoria Boulevard or better still, Ditmars Boulevard and walk west to the water front.
