  2. The museum offers visitors three hangars full of military (all branches) and aviation history, static aircraft displays, artifacts, equipment and lots of WAFB memorabilia. It is located on the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base, once a Strategic Air Command Base that closed in 1993 and is now the Oscoda-Wurtsmith Airport.
