Aug 21, 2021 · On June 26, 1992, a statue of Costello, complete with a baseball bat, was dedicated in the newly named Lou Costello Memorial Park in Paterson. That statue has been seen in episodes of “The Sopranos” and elsewhere.
Sep 26, 2018 · Lou Costello was a native of Paterson and he never forgot it. He was very community conscious and gave back to the city where he was raised. The park and memorial statue is a few blocks away from the primary tourism district, but it is nice to visit because of the deep bond between Lou and his city. Read more.

The landmark is marked with an entryway sign for "Lou Costello Memorial." Lou's statue was dedicated on June 26, 1992. Lou was born in Paterson in 1906.
Jun 27, 2022 · The late comedian Lou Costello, who is from Paterson, along with his partner, Bud Abbott, will have a new plaque on display in the city. A mockup of the plaque was unveiled Sunday at Lou Costello Memorial Park. The ceremony also marked 30 years since a life-sized bronze statue of Costello was unveiled back in 1992.
