The Sulphur Creek Nature Center is maintained by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD) and serves as a wildlife rehabilitation and education facility located along the eastern edge of Hayward. This wildlife refuge is home to many native animals who have been sick, injured, or orphaned and serves as an oasis for its animal residents.
