Inspiring children and adults to learn about and experience the ecology of Northwest Georgia. The E.C.O. Center is a joint department of the City of Rome and Floyd County and exists to provide natural resource education to the residents and visitors of Rome and Floyd County.
The building that the E.C.O. Center is housed in is the original freshwater pumping station that opened for the City of Rome in 1893. This brick structure, located in Ridge Ferry Park, transported water from the Oostanaula River to the filtration complex atop Jackson Hill.
