Synopsis. In compliance with a court order 60 white students are bused to Lafayette High School, administered by black vice-principal Quincy Davis, a former basketball star. The white presence is resented by militant blacks led by J. T. Watson, and white resentment crystallizes in the person of Leaky Couloris, a racist.
