Spite Marriage is a 1929 American silent comedy film co-directed by Buster Keaton and Edward Sedgwick and starring Keaton and Dorothy Sebastian. It is the second film Keaton made for MGM and his last silent film, although he had wanted it to be a "talkie" or full sound film.
Spite Marriage (1929) was the final silent film from Buster Keaton, one of the true geniuses of American cinema. Keaton stars as Elmer, a lowly pants presser who falls in love with a gorgeous actress named Trilby Drew (Dorothy Sebastian).

Though not of the quality of "The General," an almost perfect movie, "Spite Marriage" is worth watching both for the fun and for the historical value of its being Keaton's last silent.
