After being expelled from both a public school and a prestigious private school, John Humperdink Stover (Dean Stockwell) is given one more chance by his father, and is sent to the distinguished Lawrenceville prep school. Stover manages to ostracize himself from the rest of the boys in his dorm and make himself a target for the school's tough headmaster (Leo G.
