Surfing is the only thing to do for high school students Chuck and Bob who are in preparation for the big surf competition. However, their fathers, sales reps for a new soda named Buzzz Cola, disapprove of surfing as a whole.
The soda, invented by a nefarious revenge-driven nerd (played brilliantly by Eddie Deezen), causes the young surfers to become garbage-consuming zombies with a punk rock fashion sense (dyed mohawks, ripped up wetsuits held together by safety pins and far too much make-up).
A madman concocts a tainted soft drink that compels surfers and beach bums to eat garbage.
