Enrolled at an all-girls school, Dinah Sheldon (Shirley Temple), an artistically inclined and progressive-minded young woman, embraces the cause of women's rights. Unfortunately, Dinah's father, Andrew (Robert Young), an old-fashioned preacher, isn't initially too keen on the concept -- and her boyfriend, Tom Wade (John Agar), is even more confounded.
