Ted Schwarz's 1992 book Deadly Whispers is a documentary of the case, mainly based on court documents as neither Tom nor Dorothy Bonney were available for interviews. The 1995 television movie Deadly Whispers was inspired by the book. Although the plot is fictional, it is very similar to the Bonney case.
