Man of Steel centers around Clark Kent who is an alien sent to earth as a baby by his father Jor El after his home planet Krypton explodes. Clark spends most of his time in hiding until General Zod, a prisoned kryptonian criminal comes to earth looking for him as Zod plans to turn earth into Krypton using a world engine.
