da capo (Italian: "from the beginning") is a melee weapon in item asylum. It is a black scythe with a white handle and a music scale attached onto it.
Using da capo causes the user to slash forward, dealing 25 damage and inflicting momentary hitstun.
For each 4 enemies directly killed with da capo's M1, a movement is unlocked. There are four movements in total. Each movement unlocked has several effects:
•Large white text temporarily emanates from the user's body stating which Movement the user has reached.
•Audio begins to emit from the user upon reaching Movement 1, but the audio changes for every movement reached.
•A unique staff halo begins to orbit the user.
•Da capo's M1 damage is increased by 3.33.
•If da capo's aura kills a player, it does not count towards the weapon upgrading.
•da capo's aura is most powerful on cramped maps.
•Reaching Movements 1 and 2 will not cancel out permanent status effects from fire force and polish meal if they were already active. Using fire force while in a movement will grant the bonus speed, however, but not the defense and attack bonus, and polish meal will instead become unusuable.
•When encountering enemies with powerful stunning items while auras are active, maintain a moderate distance from them. da capo has zero stunning abilities, so the aura is best left to deal damage to these players.
•You can use NPCs such as roombas, golems and trees summoned from earth tome, shadow clones, and even noobs summoned from noob tube for the sake of getting movements.
•The movements grant lifesteal, this means that if you are in a crowd you can heal back all you damage.
•This weapon is the E.G.O weapon of the abnormality The Silent Orchestra from Lobotomy Corporation.
•Upon reaching any movement, the player with da capo can no longer use any Emotes. In its base game, when The Silent Orchestra is breaching, it blocks the player from changing the speed of the game so as to not ruin the music. It's likely this mechanic was implemented for the same reason.
•Despite reaching First Trumpet with da capo, it instead plays Second Trumpet music.
•The aura making victims' heads explode is a reference to how the abnormality in its home game causes employees' heads to explode if they are lower than half their max SP.
•The damage immunity in item asylum is also a direct reference to the abnormality's defenses in Lobotomy Corporation, which are Immune, upon reaching Finale.
•As mentioned above, during any da capo's movement active, polish meal becomes unusable, instead prompting the user with "You wouldn't consume such things in the middle of a performance, right?"

The Da Capo Aria was an extremely popular form of composition found in operas and oratorios, particularly in the Baroque period. Written in ternary form and sung by a soloist with instrumental accompaniment, the da capo arias consisted of 2 contrasting sections.
In Italian, Da Capo (D.C.) means from head, and in music theory its symbol is: Da Capo (D.C.) indicates that you have to go back to the beginning (just one time), like this: You play the fourth measure as usual, and after having played the measure fully, you will notice the indication.
