Brief Synopsis. In Las Vegas, Franny, a Fremont Street travel agent, dreams of taking off to the exotic locales to which she sends her clients. Meanwhile, her husband Hank is preoccupied with the purchase of their spacious, slightly seedy Spanish Moderne home as a good investment.
One From The Heart. As a Las Vegas couple's relationship teeters on the brink of disaster, a fight on the 4th of July leads them both to spend a night on the Strip alone in pursuit of their romantic fantasies.
“One from the Heart” (1981) was Francis Ford Coppola’s follow-up to his incredible “Apocalypse Now” (1979). It’s a romantic musical shot entirely on a large sound stage (with one sequence done in the back lot) of Coppola’s Zoetrope Studios, a studio by artists for artists.
After a five-year relationship, lustful and dreamy Frannie leaves down-to-earth Hank on the anniversary of their relationship. Each one of them meets their dream mate, but as bright as they may seem, they are but a stage of lights and colors.
