Johann was the King of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, as well as the Duke of Schleswig and Holstein. He was born in Aalborg, the son of Christian I of Denmark and Dorothea of Brandenburg. In 1478, Johann married Christina of Saxony, granddaughter of Frederick the Gentle.
