Ashes to Ashes is a British fantasy crime drama and police procedural drama television series, serving as the sequel to Life on Mars. [1] The series began airing on BBC One in February 2008. A second series began broadcasting in April 2009. A third and final series was broadcast from 2 April to 21 May 2010 on BBC One and BBC HD.
A sequel to Life on Mars, this series follows DI Alex Drake, who wakes up in 1981 after being shot in 2008. She joins DCI Gene Hunt and his team to solve crimes in the '80s London.
