The fifth season of Monk originally aired in the United States on USA Network from July 7, 2006, to March 2, 2007. It consisted of 16 episodes. Tony Shalhoub, Traylor Howard, Ted Levine, and Jason Gray-Stanford reprised their roles as the main characters. A DVD of the season was released on June 26, 2007.
S5.E15 ∙ Mr. Monk and the Really, Really Dead Guy. A street musician is murdered six different ways and the killer is threatening to strike again, but Monk and his colleagues are forced to the sidelines by obnoxious FBI agents.
The fifth season of Monk begain airing in the United States on USA Network on July 7, 2006. Like previous seasons, it was split into two halves, with the second half of the premiering on January 19, 2007. Two episodes were aired in November and December 2006, inbetween the two sets of episodes.
