For they are introduced, through a former associate of Sophie’s, to Magiq Baby.
Episode 9; The Pyramid Job, is available. I think the marks had to be formidable because MLM racketeers is a step below their normal antagonists. So, it did seem like just a segue to introduce Ramsey. There's no way they setup the lady mark as a human lie detector and then had her give a wrong read.
