   • Ptuj is the oldest recorded city in Slovenia. There is evidence that it has been inhabited since the late Stone Age. In the Roman Empire, it was a Military fort. It was named Poetovium. I think it is one of the best old towns and places to visit in Slovenia. My favorite view is from the fortification walls of the castle.
