It lies 1 kilometre (0.6 mi) east of the town of Bagnoregio and about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Rome. The only access is a footbridge from the nearby town, with a toll introduced in 2013. [1]

Of all the Italian hill towns, Civita di Bagnoregio is my favorite. Less well-known than Siena or Assisi, this stunning little gem has escaped the modern age mostly because of topography. The town teeters atop a crest rising high above a vast canyon ruled by wind and erosion.
Civita di Bagnoregio is a magical, surreal, fantastic place located on top of a tuff hill that can only be reached by crossing a narrow pedestrian bridge. From there you can enjoy one of the most stunning panoramic views of the whole Lazio region.
Civita di Bagnoregio is not free to visit, and except your stamina and time, you will have to pay 5 EUR for basic entrance, and every other additional museum is 3 EUR. You will need 20-60 min from the parking, deepening on your fitness.
