Dundee was once one of the world's great whaling ports and later, its jute manufacturing capital (think sandbags, burlap sacks).
Dundee is an industrial city and port, historically part of Angus county in North East Scotland. It stands on the north bank of the Firth of Tay, which here broadens out into the North Sea, and in 2021 had a population of 148,000.
