    Blundeston is a parish in Mutford district, Suffolk; it is near the coast, 2 ½ miles ENE of Somerleyton railway station, and 3½ miles NW of Lowestoft. The post office is under Lowestoft. Although it was returned by the Domesday Commissioners amongst the property of William, Bishop of Thetford, it seems, in great measure, to have been held by other possessors.
