   • Peterborough, Ontario is perfectly situated just before the halfway point between the cities of Toronto and Ottawa. Many driving between the two cities will take the highway route along 401 to 416 past cities such as Kingston. But I much prefer the route down HWY 115 to Peterborough and up through the small towns along HWY 7.
