Oct 5, 2017 · Previte’s third record for Gramavision, was a two guitar, keyboard, vocal, sampling, and trombone brew called “Empty Suits.” This CD started his relationship with the great engineer Joe Ferla, and marks a period when Previte’s interest in musicians like Salif Keita and King Sunny Adé (with tunes like, “The King So Far”) was at its zenith.

Bobby Previte (born July 16, 1951 in Niagara Falls, New York) is a drummer, composer, and bandleader. He earned a degree in economics from the University at Buffalo, where he also studied percussion. He moved to New York City in 1979 and began professional relationships with John Zorn, Wayne Horvitz, and Elliott Sharp .
