Ian Mohr of the New York Post broke the story on Thursday that Marino had an affair with Donna Savattere over eight years ago. She then gave birth to a daughter, Chloe, in June of 2005.
- Savattere worked with Marino at CBS. Prior to the affair, Savattere had met Marino in 2004 while she was a 35-year-old production assistant at CBS Sports.
- The love child was born around Marino’s Hall of Fame induction. Marino’s “love child” with Savattere was born just two months before Marino was inducted in the NFL Hall of Fame on Aug.
- Both are married. While Savattere was not married at the time, Marino was – and still is – married to his wife of 30 years, Claire. As the tale of his affair looms, Marino insists his relationship with his wife is going strong.
- Savattere was paid to keep quiet. After the affair, which took place in 2005, Marino reportedly paid Savattere millions to keep quiet as well as to help raise their daughter.
