- Porteau Cove. This is a very simple stop on the west side of Highway 1. It is a beautiful dock with a small campsite and gorgeous views of the Howe Sound and the surrounding mountains.
- Britannia Mine Museum ($) Going to an old mining site might seem boring, but the people at Britannia Beach have done a great job making this a very interactive and engaging experience.
- Shannon Falls. Do not miss these beautiful falls. They are just off the highway, you can see them from certain places on the road, but they are so much more impressive close up.
- Sea to Sky Gondola ($) This gondola is right next to Shannon Falls, so it is easy to check them both out from the same stop. The gondola can take you quickly up the side of the mountain for stunning views of Squamish, the Howe Sound, the islands, the Garibaldi Mountains, and more.

Monkey Trail, Eddie D. Jones Park, Keithville, LA. This trail opened in 2003 in the Eddie D. Jones Park in Caddo Parish. The park itself has over 10 miles of hiking and biking trails in a deep wilderness setting, though the main loop is a 6.5-mile hike. The trails are lightly trafficked and very well maintained.
