A few years later, the X Games hit, and suddenly, Dave Mirra's signature Haro was on every TV screen of an ESPN subscriber, and demand for his signature bikes and components sky rocketed. Mirra remained an esteemed member of the Haro team through the end of 2006, and then started his own brand, Mirraco, for the remainder of his BMX career.
The first complete bike that will be produced is inspired by the bike featured on the cover of Sony’s Playstation game - Dave Mirra BMX Freestyle released in the year 2000. It’s candy red with chrome parts and is designed to look like the original and perform like today’s high-end freestyle bikes.

Mirra rode for and was fully sponsored by Haro Bikes from the mid-1990s until he started his own bike company. He was a member of the team which won the 2014 Race Across America four-person male (under 50) category. Mirra died by suicide on February 4, 2016. He was inducted into the BMX Hall of Fame on June 11, 2016.
