Feb 10, 2023 · Both Foothill and Amador Valley high schools’ competitive civics teams topped this year’s state We the People competition, with the Falcons placing first and Dons in second place. As the top two teams in the state, both will represent Pleasanton and California in the We the People National Finals in Washington, D.C. , from April 22 to 24.
On Friday September 22, the Amador Dons lost to the Foothill Falcons 7-12, where the crowd was full of students and parents decked out in their spirit wear to support their teams and watch the schools face head-to-head on the field.
Sep 25, 2022 · The Amador Valley High School Dons (3-1) defeated the Foothill Falcons (2-3) in a thrilling 14-7 overtime victory. Both crowds brought high energy to the stadium, but a scoreless first quarter ended left the fans wondering when one of their teams would be able to drive the ball into the end zone.
The school district provides facilities and an athletic trainer for the sports programs at Amador and Foothill, but has provided no monetary support to athletics since 2008 due to statewide cuts in funding.
