  2. Hunter College Elementary School (HCES) is a publicly-funded (tuition-free) school that serves a diverse population of children who have been identified as intellectually talented. Hunter College Elementary School is one of the oldest schools for intellectually-gifted students in the country.

  3. It grew out of the Hunter College Model School and assumed its current name in 1941. From its inception until 1973, Hunter College Elementary School was located at the Hunter College campus at 68th Street and Lexington Avenue. Its current location is the former site of the Squadron A Armory at 71 East 94th Street in New York City.

  4. The Hunter College Campus Schools consist of an elementary school (Kindergarten to 6th grade) and a high school (7th to 12th grades).
