- Searching for the Remote: Check the obvious places. There's a good chance that you lost the remote in the room where you watch television. Many people tend to leave their remote near the television set, or near where they sit when they're watching T.V.
- Asking Around: Ask other members of your household. If anyone else has used the remote recently, he or she might be able to give you a lead as to its location.
- Preventing the Problem: Be more mindful about your remote. If you keep a closer eye on your remote in the future, you may be less likely to lose it. Try to be engaged and aware each time that you set your remote down.
- Use the Power Button. Contrary to what the name implies, the power button does more than just powering ON/OFF your television. Depending on your model of your Samsung TV, the power button is located on the back of the TV or in the center of the bottom panel.
- Use a wired keyboard. Most modern Samsung TVs have a USB A port at the backside of the TV, which you can use to control the device if you lose your TV remote.
- Get a wireless keyboard with Dongle. Although a wired keyboard works with most Samsung TV right out of the box, I would highly recommend getting cheap wireless keyboard from Amazon.
- Use the Samsung app. If your Samsung TV is connected to home WiFi network, then you can easily control it from the Samsung Smartthings app. You can get the app on both Android and iOS.
